25 Lakh people displaced, 10,000 village affected, Over 100 people dead - Bihar floods were rightfully declared as a "National Calamity". With rescue operations in full swing, the CM of Bihar - Mr. Nitish Kumar has assured that within the next 2-3 days more than 15 lakh displaced people will be brought to safer places. How the government machinery can do this is still a question, the answers to which are not itself with the government.?

But that would just be the first step in solving this crisis, a far major worry for the administration is to stop the spread of epidemic that could start because of the destruction caused due to floods.

Endless carcasses of dead animals have caused the administration to worry about the possibility of spread of epidemics in flood hit areas. Bihar would need the help of the whole nation in order to help it get hold of the situation and stop an epidemic in spreading.

Some of the points that we need to take into consideration:

1. Removing the people affected by floods to safer areas.
   
2. Channelizing the Non-profit organizations in a right manner 
3. Employing the Medical Services to far flung areas where people do not have access to basic amenities
